Gyro Foundation
Created to give everyone a chance
Gyro believes that everyone has potential if they have the right opportunities, and the Gyro Foundation is the way in which we put our principles into action.
By supporting an inner city school
Gyro supports Ernest Bevin College, a comprehensive school in Tooting, south London. Gary Brine and Richard Glasson act as community governors for the school, and many Gyro staff dedicate time each week to mentor and tutor year 7 boys so they can achieve a standard of literacy to take them more easily through the rest of their schooling and lives.
By giving inner city children a chance
Gyro runs a scholarship out of the Chelsea office, which introduces 16-18 year-old students from south London to the world of work. We’re experts in inspiration and motivation and this scholarship offers both.
By supporting charities which help the local community
Gyro donates time, money and advice to St Giles Trust, a charity based in Camberwell in London, which prevents offending and improves community safety by helping disadvantaged offenders and homeless people build independent and successful lives.
By giving young designers their first break
Gyro gets how hard it is to land a job in design. Hey, we’re picky. But each year, Gyro takes on three young designers who have no work experience. Over the course of a year, we train them, expose them to the agency world and give them the chance to build an impressive portfolio. These designers are taken straight from art school, and finish the year equipped for a career in Creative.
By getting people running
The Gyro 10k takes place in June every year, entirely funded and organised by Gyro. This race encourages people to get fit, to challenge themselves and to raise money for a designated charity in the process.
By supporting our sporting future
Gyro has donated £100k in time and services to Sports Aid—the charity for sports people. Sports Aid gives financial support and guidance to children with the potential to become world champions, and Gyro is proud to support their work.
By supporting young sports people
Gyro believes that physical fitness and the disciplines of competitive sport equip people for success in all walks of life. To that end, Gyro annually sponsors several young sports people with the talent and drive.
By working pro bono for community sports organisations
Gyro is working pro bono with England football legend Bryan Robson to produce a new brand identity with accompanying PR for his new venture, Robson Lloyd. The organisation aims to establish a network of community sports centres across the UK to support more people in sports at a grass root level.
